OCCUPATION: he remains at the summit of mt. silver, though occassionally he does leaves the summit when he wants, traveling and visiting some of his companions now and then. PERSONALITY: unlike most protagonists of heroic tales and adventures, red is not boistorious nor very... cheerful. sure, the boy has his moments now and then, but for the most part, this hero lives up to his nickname as the silent hero of the kanto region. making bonds with other people hasn't been easy for red - on his travels, he's well aware that he's going to be meeting and then leaving a lot of new people. he doesn't get close, he doesn't make them his friends per se, so that it's easier on him to go. being such a quiet boy of few words, striking up a conversation with him is pretty difficult anyway - he's nothing more than just a few "..." and maybe a "yes" or a "no" with it. red is essentially the epitome of the quiet hero who does what he needs to do and get things over with. he has a sense of adventure, of course he does - he just shows it in odd ways. red loves to travel the world after leaving pallet town, and he finds thrill in wandering from town to town. what's even better is that these paths he takes lead him into the directions of pokemon trainers, into battles. the adrenaline he gets, the quickening pace of his heart when he's going against a tough opponent, these simple things get to his mind and when red battles, he really gets into it. he holds a great deal of compassion towards trainers and their pokemon, always holding others before himself. it just goes to show how much he cares, even if his love is quiet; but hey, actions speak louder than words, right?
