ANNOUNCEMENT #1 -- ONE WEEK!

A World We Must Defend has now officially been open for one full week! I must say I am very satisfied with the growth of this site so far, and can see it lasting a long time if we choose to remain active and keep recruiting more members! Not only this, but I love each and every one of you members. I have made many, many (dozens!) of sites of various genres in the past, and it's very rare that each member seems to fit in perfectly and relate so well to others. And, well, many times I've had to deal with members I would have rather not dealt with... if you know what I mean. >_> But I can honestly say there are no cases of that on AWWMD! Now I shall continue with this super long announcement... Ideas and plotting for a site event has recently gone underway. It's going to have something to do with a festival being thrown where everyone across every region is invited, with some top-secret happenings mixed in having to do with Team Ultimatum and the Pokemon League. ;) This should happen within the next week or two and I'll keep you guys updated of course. Also within the next week or two (probably two), I plan on holding an activity check, so please be prepared for that. Anyone who does not post in the activity check once it's concluded will be deleted, and this means canons will be up for grabs again. Unfortunately, it already seems we have a few inactive members, but hopefully they will start making their way back here soon! Once this month starts coming to an end, nominations and voting for "member of the month," "character of the month," "couple of the month," "thread of the month," and "pokemon of the month" will be held. I know that's a lot of categories, but I thought it would be fun, and I could make a cool graphic to display on the sidebar for them. :P Something I would like to address: I am not currently in search of more staff members for this site. No one has asked me about it yet, but in the case that someone might I decided to let you all know now. Through personal experiences I have learned choosing staff members can lead to unnecessary site drama and I'd like to avoid that at all costs. When I feel that AWWMD has grown to be too much for me to handle by myself, I will let you guys know how I plan to choose helpers and what "jobs" would be needed. Finally, I have an announcement about myself. Tomorrow (well actually in about ten hours from now) I'm going to be getting my wisdom teeth removed. I heard that I'm going to be wanting to sleep a lot for the first couple of days, but I've also heard this procedure affects people in different ways so I really don't know. Still, no matter what, I'm going to try to check up on the site as much as possible, though I don't know how much that may be. Phew, all done! You may post below with any comments or questions! OKAY. So Owl has been gone for a while, we don't know what's up. In the mean time, we have a plan to keep new members. [Credit for this idea goes to Dream!]
