[PLATINUM]

Platinum disembarked the large ferry at the port of Canalave City that had taken me to Fullmoon Island where I could admire the view. It was perhaps one of the best gifts from mother nature, red flowers lined trees and the ocean breeze twirled with your hair... Such a rush of satisfaction. But sadly, everything had to end when the ship sounded its fog horn to let everyone know it was time to board and go back to the mainland.

She unloaded her bicycle from the back of the ship and walked over the small board that allowed her to get onto the dock. She let Pachirisu out of his greatball and let him sit in the little basket on the front, he always enjoyed the wind in his face, on the bike, in a car, or even the fan that sat in her villa. He was just like the dogs that would stick their heads out the window in books she had read.

Lady was so busy laughing at Paki, she hadn't noticed Cynthis, the Champion, the gorgeous, right in her path.

[CYNTHIA]

Of course Cynthia was not looking up. She was looking down at the map in her hands. Why did she come to Fullmoon Island again? Oh yes, the seclusion. Cynthia never liked to be alone until... until that horribly fateful day that was her loss. Cynthia sighed and squinted at the map again. North? East? The dang map didn't have any of the cardinal directions.

Gerry the Braviary was perched on her shoulder, looking at the map as well. "What do you think Ger-Bear?" Cynthia cooed at her Braviary. The bird just looked at her and tilted his head, as if to say "I can't read English stupid!"

Cynthia laughed at her Braviary and looked up from the map just in time to see the smiling face of a Pachirisu slam right into her. The girl on the bike had run Cynthia clean over and Geronomo squawked in alarm as the former champion went sprawling right on her face, her black attire getting a nice dusting.

Cynthia shook off her fall and stood right up. She then went to go see how the other girl had faired in the collision. She was already beginning to apologize as Gerry flew back to her shoulder.

All Platinum could see were little Staryu dancing around her in circles, blinding her vision, almost mocking the girl. Only when they died down did she realize that she was on the ground with her bike and her little Paki was licking her face, making sure his momma was okay.

She hoisted herself up and onto the support of her elbow with a headache that made her head throb, she didn't remember one thing. That is until she saw the Champion right before her, dusty and dirty. Gasping when the horrid memory came back to her, she instantly popped up, almost knocking over her Pachirisu, and started to bury Cynthia with apologies. She could not believe that she had ran over the Champ! The woman had such high prestige that she knew she would never be forgiven...

But then she heard her apologize. Cynthia had apologized to her! But why? Wasn't she the one who had ran into her? She wasn't watching where she was going, it wasn't like she had walked in front of her, she was just standing there innocently with her Braviary.

"I can not accept your apology, miss. I was the one who ran into you, so please accept mine, I should have been watching where I was going."

[CYNTHIA]

"Oh no, honey, it's quite alright," Cynthia told the flustered girl in a smooth voice. "And you can just call me Cynthia, not miss." Cynthia looked at the Pachirisu and smiled. She remembered when she, quite like this girl, had been first starting out and Grace had bitten the old Champion's leg. He had not nearly been so forgiving of her at the time. Cynthia sighed at the memory. Things had been much more simple then, back in the day. And now she was thinking like an old woman. Great.

The champion looked down at her dirt covered black outfit with a scowl. She attempted to knock off some of the dirt with her hand but failed miserably. "If you'd please, Gerry," Gerry, much to Cynthia's horror, was eyeing the poor Pachirisu like it would be his next meal. One look from his trainer though and Gerry got his mind back on the task at hand. He launched himself into the air then floated a couple of meters away from Cynthia. Then, with his great wings, Gerry created a rushing wind that efficiently cleared the dirt from Cynthia's clothing. The former-Champion smiled and looked back at the trainer in front of her. So much potential... Cynthia could just tell that this girl was a talented trainer.

"Relax already! We're all friends here! Except for Gerry. I'd watch your Pachirisu if I were you. Anyway, I'm afraid I didn't catch your name. You wouldn't happen to be from around here, would you? We're quite lost at the moment."

Over in the distance, the Elite Four member Aaron was sitting on one of the pillars near the center water channel. He was fishing in the center channel. Why was he fishing in the channel? No telling. Most of the fish were probably scared off by the boats coming in and out. Besides, he was a bug trainer. But who's to say he ddin;t train others as well?

He was absentmindedly staring into the bobber, when he heard a crash not too far off.

He turned his head quickly, interested. He saw it has been a crash. Just a bicycle, luckily, but he was still concerned.

"Hey!" He yelled over to the two, "You two okay over there?" He wound up his rod, and jumped down from the pillar, stuffing it in his bag as he began to walk over.

"Okay.. Cynthia," Platinum showed an awkward smile and let out a nervous laugh. She still could not believe that she was in front of the Champion herself! Oh, and it seemed to the Pokedex holder that they were starting a brand new friendship, and it all started with her running over Cynthia with her bicycle. Who would've known?

She watched in amazement as the Braviary dusted off Cynthia, he had clearly understood the command from her. There was such a connection between the two that it was almost breath-taking, and that's when she looked down at her own self and noticed all of the dirt and dust patches along the side of her body that she fell on. She quickly dusted off, feeling her face get red in embarrassment about how how dysfunctional her appearance was in front of the sinnoh champion, Platinum was surprised Cynthia hadn't laughed at her... Then again she wasn't though, taken the fact she was being so kind to the young trainer.

When the Champion pointed out that her Gerry was about to eat Platinum's Pachirisu, she took it as a friendly joke and went down to pet her Paki, but she quickly pulled back and squeaked when she saw the bird pokemon eyeing the hand that was in the way of the prey. Lurching back down again, she snatched her pokemon and quickly gathered it into her arms. "I guess I shouldn't have taken that as a joke.. she said, letting out yet another laugh, but not nervous like the last time, more sincere.

Turning to see yet another Elite Four member! It was Aaron, he specializes in Bug pokemon, which made her wonder why he was carrying a fishing rod.

"Yeah, we're fine!"

[CYNTHIA]

Oh my, this was not good. Not good at all. Cynthia hid her face with her hand. She recognized the new voice immediately. Aaron. Normally, she would be very happy to see one of her Elite Four out having a good time. Arceus only knew that they needed to get out more. Way more. But this was not the time for this. Cynthia was still not ready to face one of her friends. Not now. Not after... her loss.

The poor girl in front of her didn't know, she couldn't know. Cynthia had told no one. But of course, the questions were going to be flying as soon as Aaron saw her, recognized her. Questions that Cynthia didn't have answeres to. Gerry squawked at Aaron as he ran over, though he was a bit disappointed that he wasn't going to get to eat that nice, yummy Pachirisu.

Cynthia shook her head to clear it. She would have to face people at some point in time. And they didn't have to know that she no longer was the Champion of Sinnoh. What they didn't know wouldn't hurt them. Cynthia forced herself to relax and turned around with a smile to greet Aaron.

"Aaron, it's been quite a long time. Why you're carrying a fishing rod, I may never understand, but I'm happy to see you!"

Aaron went from walking to slowly jogging up to see them. He hadn't seen Cynthia in a while, and the chance of meeting a new person made him excited.

Cynthia looked awkward for some reason, but he didn't feel to concerned. He didn't see Cynthia too often outside of the Elite Four, and she probably had a lot on her mind to be out and walking around.

"Hey Cynthia! Glad you two are okay," he cheered, always in a great mood. "Haha, I can't just have fun?" he said with a cheeky grin, showing his rod haphazardly into his pack.

He then turned to the newer girl, "And who are you, fine miss?" He bent down to give her Pachirisu a little scratch on its chin. "And what a cute little Pokemon you have here!"
