Not exactly a boss but he's got enough authority to call a few shots himself. From time to time, he does take charge and order people around. In the beginning, his home was in the city of Celadon, the rainbow city. His own father was part of Team Rocket, though more on the research division. As a result, since a young age, he had been exposed to the Team's doings way before he himself joined. His childhood wasn't a bad one. Sure, there were times when his father was gone for weeks, doing research or something similar, but he and his mother understood, or rather, he was made to understand, and kept their silence about the whole thing. When he wasn't with his father in the lab, learning about pokemon himself, he was out in the fields, playing with pokemon. There weren't many children who's parents allowed them to play with someone who was possibly connected with Team Rocket, and so most of his playtime was spent alone. But he didn't mind. He liked the pokemon, and they seemed to like him just fine as well. At the age of sixteen, he officially joined the Rockets. Many scoffed at him, he was the center of jokes for the first few months within the group. He was considered young, too young. Many didn't think he'd survive in the group for long, thinking that he'd most likely drop into pokemon tending instead. Honestly, he thought so too. That was, until his first mission, where he accidentally killed someone. The adrenaline rush, the smell of blood, the feeling of power over his victim. He quickly got addicted to that taste. A sense of fulfillment washed over him, as he got more assignments, killing more times that was needed. It wasn't until he was reprimanded that he started to try and control himself, allowing himself only to maim his victim, and not kill, or only as far as he could hold himself back. He was re-assigned to Johto, as one of the youngest executives even, where take over attempts were currently at play. His first piece of embarrassment after his discovery for his craze for blood happened in Azalea Town. He was assigned to guard the entrance of the slowpoke well while his comrades were to cut off some tails from some Slowpoke. He had been over-confident, bringing only one of his pokemon for the job, quite sure he could take on whoever was stupid enough to get in Team Rockets way. He was beaten, badly at that, by some kid. Later on the same thing happened, but this time, it was in the Goldenrod Radio Tower. The same kid, but he was stronger this time, and he lost once more. Humiliating. He didn't mind the merge of Team Rocket with several other teams, though he didn't really trust the other factions.
