Hoenn Reunion!!! (Wally!)

WELCOME BACK MY FRIENDS

TO THE SHOW THAT NEVER ENDS!

The sea breeze seemed to pass through Ruby as Mr. Briney’s boat raced through the waves toward Slateport. Although he didn’t much care for the stench of the ocean, Mimi and Zuzu seemed to be having fun racing alongside the boat. The coordinator hoped to Arceus that they wouldn’t get dirty from the water, perhaps getting seaweed stuck to their bodies or something along those lines. He would hate to have to clean them again, but it would be necessary. Such is the price of beauty, right?

It wasn’t long until they had finally reached their destination, the famous Slateport City. Thanking the old sailor as he exited the vehicle, his first reaction was to see the damage control on his two water-types. Putting on his stylish glasses, he carefully inspected the two of them, making sure to leave no spot unchecked. After he was finished, he took a moment to think, making sure he had no qualms.

“As perfect as ever!” he said with a smile, doing a thumbs-up jesture as he confirmed their pristine condition. He was glad that they knew well enough to surf while keeping their natural beauty. It made him feel all the more accomplished. “I don’t want you guys getting dirty from the sand though, so I’m going to keep on you in your Pokeballs for now.”

In a flash of red light, both of his Pokemon were returned to their Pokeballs, as Ruby stretched, trying to think of what to do first in this fabulous city. There were so many options ahead of him! He could try to enter one of the Pokemon contests here for fun, but he’d be so far ahead of the other competitors it wouldn’t even be funny. He could try visiting Captain Stern, but that guy always seemed to be busy with a new project anyway. Heck, maybe just get a tan on the beach.

The more he thought about it, though, the more obvious the answer was on what to do first. Ruby chuckled, amazed that it had taken him this long to come to this conclusion. If he were to truly have fun in Slateport, the first thing he would have to do is SHOPPING!

“I could buy some stuff for the secret base me and Sapphire have. I’m sure that they’ll have a great selection of dolls and other fun stuff this time of the year. Not as good as Lilycove, but I can go there anytime too. Oh this is going to be a wonderful experience!” he said gleefully. Running towards the market, he was beside himself with glee! What could make this day any better?!

A refreshing harbor city with a treasure trove of goods and delicacies. Wally and his Altaria were having quite a ball as they shopped for themselves, and for the rest of the party. They were going to have to re-supply and take care of some minor injuries as well, as trainers always do. After quite a few days of exhausting travel, who wouldn't want to unwind for once? After a quick meal of the local seafood of the harbor, Wally lurched into the nearest Pokemart, steadying his own breathing. Being around so many people at one time would only be begging for his symptoms to rear it's ugly head, yet for the time being, Wally would have to endure. However, it didn't seem that too many folks were around as he walked down the aisles, local or otherwise. Looking down the list, it would seem that he's gotten everything he needed to travel again. "Well, so far so..." Suddenly, a familiar shade of red caught the corner of the trainer's eye, and as he turned, he came to eventually see face to back of a familiar one. "R-Ruby?" Wally softly spoke, before suddenly beginning to cough again. He clenched his throat and fell on his knees for the moment as he mentally cursed himself for being so careless... made by starr of on the edge !

Everything had been looking up today as far as Ruby was concerned, as he walked down the markets of Slateport. There was so much to do that he didn’t know where to start. He frantically looked around, hoping to find some inspiration. However, as he looked around, he heard a weak mention of his name. Egotistically, he naturally assumed it was someone wanting his autograph. Of course, who wouldn’t want the signature of a world famous coordinator such as himself? As he smugly turned around, he loudly proclaimed his ego.

“Yes, dear fan. Would you like an au… Wally?” he said, noticing that it wasn’t some crazed fan (He has those. He swears), but a friend calling his name. A look of glee went across his face as he noticed his friend, as he began walking over to greet him. Before he could even take one step, however, the green haired trainer had begun one of his famous coughing fits. He had been a little better as of late as far as Ruby knew, but when these happened it was bad. As much as he didn’t like getting involved in problems too much, there was absolutely no choice here.

“Hold on. I gotcha!” he yelled as he ran as fast as his Devon Running shoes could take him. As he finally got to him, he tried to think of what to do. He had an idea that had a sliver of a chance of working… just a sliver. Taking out a Pokeball, he threw it into the air, and out came a dancing Kirlia, appearing in just the way that Ruby and her had painstakingly practiced. Although he was delighted by her perfect entrance, now was not the time.

“Ruru, can you trying using heal pulse on Wally?” he said, thinking that it could possibly have an effect, even a small one, on humans as well as Pokemon. Confused for a second, Ruru hesitated, then nodded as she put her hands together in a pose, and pink wave began emitting from her body. The waves began to hit the trainer, hopefully at least stalling his ailments.
