His father was an older gym leader and his mom, a successful coordinator. Being so good at their professions, they always had high hopes for Lance no matter which path he chose to follow. As a kid, he was always running around and acting reckless without a care in the world. As far as he was concerned, life was the coolest thing ever and he was going to live it up to the fullest. When Lance turned 7, his father had a tragic heart attack that shook he and his mother up quite a bit. His mom mellowed down a lot and wouldn't talk much for a while. She'd forget about her son at times and lock up while he was still outside playing. Lance never let it get to him - he just did everything he could to make his mom smile and get better. She did, eventually. When he turned 10 and got his first Pokemon, a Dratini. And so that was the start of his Pokemon adventure. He kissed his mom goodbye and went on his way. It took Lance 6 years to obtain every badge from every region he could possibly go to. His team grew bigger and stronger, but he never got rid of his little Dratini, who grew up to be his partner to this day. He waited around for another two years, exploring and meeting new people. Just living life while he was still a teenager. And it was only at the age of 18 that he took on the Champion and took his place in the Kanto region. Lately, life has been a bit chaotic for the fellow due to Team Ultimatum, but he is getting by with his team of Pokemon. Even more determined than ever. |
