Walking for multiple miles with heels is just an accident waiting to happen.
It’s just a bad idea. And so former Sinnoh Champion Cynthia walked through the region of Hoenn barefoot. It wasn’t her usual style, not at all in fact. But she really wasn’t exactly dressed like she normally was. In order to ditch the paparazzi, Cynthia had agreed to change her normal way of dress (a conservative black dress or combination of black blouse and pants accompanied by a long, sweeping jacket) and wear a black and white striped tank with black shorts (Cynthia just couldn’t avoid the color black) with sunglasses. She barely even felt like herself in this get-up, but things weren’t like they normally were during her travels. For one, she had returned her Spiritomb to the PC in exchange for Abyss the Eelektross. And Cynthia hardly ever travelled without Chaos. In addition, she normally travelled alone but for the company of her pokemon. Now, she was travelling with her ‘boyfriend’ (she was still getting used to calling him this) Steven Stone.
After an… interesting and unconventional date at the Rustboro Contest, the couple had gotten into a playful argument about which region was better, Sinnoh or Hoenn. Cynthia had stood by her home but Steven had backed his own region fiercely. Jokingly, she had told him that she would never admit it unless she had seen the region for herself. And so now, they were travelling through the region so she could see for herself which region was the better of the two. They had set out at dawn that morning, mainly to avoid the press that had been following them since they had caught their ‘scandalous’ visit to the Kanto prison. And so far, there wasn’t a camera in sight. Even crazy paparazzi had to sleep. At least, that’s what Cynthia hoped. They had been circling their Rustboro hotel and Steven and Cynthia manner of escape had not been easy or fun for that matter…
“Stevey,” Cynthia called playfully out for her other, a soft smile playing upon her lips as she walked. “I’m not impressed. Not even close. All I see is grass, trees, and a road. You did say something about scenery the other day…” She joked with him. The girl had no idea where they were. Some random route within the region she was sure, the former-Champion had never bothered to explore Hoenn before. But she was sure that Steven had some kind of plan in mind, he always did. But it wasn’t like they were all alone in the wilderness. Most of Cynthia’s pokemon were out, enjoying the beautiful day alongside her.Though they remained a respectful distance away from the two, they were still very close. Gerry was perched on Grace’s head while Rosaline and Anubis walked, linked arm in arm. It was a half-hearted attempt to mock their trainer but Cynthia didn’t mind like they had intended her to.
Cynthia was still close to Steven, still holding his hand. But when she turned to him, her grin still there. “You know, when we started out this morning, I was excited. Now, I’m not so sure. I’m ready at any time for you to declare me the winner of this little competition you know…”
