He is considered to be an expert in many different fields of science and still works on new inventions both on his own and collaborating with other scientists. He is also a collector of rare Pokemon. PERSONALITY: • Enthusiastic - Bill is usually in a very optimistic and happy mood, even when the going gets rough. • Forgetful- He is always forgetting things- anything from his house keys to important dates and times, even when he uses a planner to organize things just always seem to slip his mind. • Clumsy- Not very graceful, Bill is known to trip on his own feet quite often and bump into others. I am sure many have heard of the horrendous incident where he got himself turned into a pokemon... • Honest- Bill has trouble telling convincing lies or deceiving others. In most situations he likes to remain completely honest with people, and is not one to pull the wool over their eyes. • Nerdy- Computers, pocket protectors, glasses and tucked-in shirts. Bill is no stud, he is a total and complete nerd. Acting smooth or professional is sometimes a great challenge for him. • Obsessive- When he gets into the zone and starts a project, Bill will sometimes not sleep for days. It consumes his entire conscience until things are absolutely perfect. • Gentle- He is by no means a battling type. In fact he tries to avoid battles at all costs necessary. This can sometimes be a problem, when asked to defend someone Bill is more likely to run away than to help. • Genius- Lets face it, he's created the PC storage system and a machine that transports items to the past, he is ridiculously smart. This doesn't necessarily mean he has great common sense, however. • Naive- Bill loves to see the good in all people, even when it isn't there. His perception of things is that is can always be worse, and the glass if always half full. • Reclusive- Months spent working on projects can make anyone wary of social interaction. Bill likes to keep to himself, avoids large crowds and never answers the door if it is someone he doesn't know. LIKES: • Technology - - Bill is all about the new age, technology and modern advancement. • Prretty girls- He's a sucker for a cute face. Although not as bad as Brock, Bill is easily swept off his feet by the ladies and is sadly very manipulable around them. • Rare Pokemon- The only other thing Bill loves more than technology and pretty girls is a rare pokemon species. If he ever got close to a legendary he would probably faint from excitement. DISLIKES: • Battling - Yes, Bill is not a great fighter. Infact he avoids conflict at all costs, and would never want to see his pokemon get hurt. He views Battles as barbaric and unnecessary. • Milk - Easy explanation, he is lactose intolerant. • Caterpie- It's a long story, involving his childhood and very long hiking trips around Mt. Moon. HISTORY: Bill had a normal childhood- his mother, a former Kimono Girl from Jhoto, raised he and his sister in Cerulean without much in the way of conflict or strife. Bill was an avid fan of Professor Oak and his magical Pokedex- he wanted to catch rarer pokemon in order to maybe get on of his own. When he was 10, Bill did catch his first rare Pokemon. An Abra. This pokemon was beloved to him, and after catching it Bill's mother decided it would be justified if they did get him a Pokedex and start making entries into it. Bill quickly discovered, however, that he didn't enjoy collecting data for the Pokedex; he loved to take the Pokedex apart. He easily found out how each component of the device worked and was able to make improvements on his own. Seeing this, his Mother had the foresight to buy Bill his first Computer and tool kit, in an attempt to prompt his creative inventing. This set Bill on a path that would eventually lead to the creation of the first Pokemon Storage system. Bill then grew up with a love of making new gadgets. At the science fair, he always got the gold medal. He started not playing outside and overtime had no playmates, just an Abra and his inventions. Bill didn't mind this, however. He was perfectly content to spend his days in his basement coding computers and learning more information. It wasn't until his seventeenth year did a major change occur in his life- that change was Team Rocket. They came very quickly in the night. All of Cerulean was subject to the raid, and no house was left upturned. Through the midnight chaos, the screaming and the sounds of breaking glass and doors being shoved in, Bill lost sight of his beloved Abra. The only pokemon he had owned for seven years. And by the time the dust had cleared and the grunts had left, his Abra was nowhere to be found. Bill was beyond devastated. For a year he lost his will to invent, he stayed indoors out of fear and read pokemon magazines in his room alone. He loved the photos of rare pokemon he saw, but what was the point in having them if they could so easily be taken away? One day, while cooking dinner his mother said something that sparked an idea inside of Bill. "If people had a safe place to store their pokemon, maybe there would be less pokemon related thefts..." That was the solution, a safe place to keep a pokemon, besides in the security of it's pokeball! In fact, why not make it possible for pokeballs to be transported over long distances? His mind was kicked back into action, and this time he wasn't going to stop until he saw his vision come true. Bill worked on the PC storage system for five years, and it wasn't until then that after a proposal to Silph Co. did Bill receive a contract to have his PC's installed in Pokemon Centers across the Kanto region. Immediately, they became popular. You no longer needed to worry about lugging around 30+ pokeballs, they could all be transported and accessed from computers all around the region.
