Cynthia-

Today while browsing the magazine stands in Castelia, I spied a tabloid which featured a photo of you looking awfully cozy next to Champion Steven. When were you planning to tell me about this, or is it all just juicy gossip? Likewise; I am continually hearing this silly nonsense that you were defeated by Giovanni. I refuse to believe any such talk until it is confirmed by you. Talk to me, I am bored to tears and very anxious to hear from you.

It wasn't particularly often that Cynthia used a computer. But today, she pulled out a sleek, white laptop from a thin bag that she had brought with her from her home in Sinnoh. It also wasn't often that she recieved messages. But today, a message alert was blinking back at her as she stared at the screen. From Caitlin... It was only polite to respond, Caitlin was a close friend:

Dearest Caitlin,
It has been much too long since our last conversation, hasn't it? It seems as though you are doing well but it is only polite to ask. How are you doing? Well, it seems as though you have been reading up on current events. But tabloids aren't the best sources of information as you probably already know. Still, I can't deny allegations, you could say that Steven and I have become a bit more than friends as of late. I wanted to tell you in person but I haven't been able to get a hold of you. If you can imagine, most of this whole situation has gotten much out of hand in the press's eye, I really don't like reporters too much. Which reminds me... Have you had eyes for anyone recently? Please forgive me, I'm quite curious.

On a more serious note, if you must know, I'm no longer considered to be the Champion of Sinnoh. It's still quite a raw wound, I lost to Giovanni only recently. But even us Champions aren't immortal. We come and go, and eventually, even Giovanni's time will be up. There's always a bigger dog out there, if you know what I'm saying.

Now that I have more time, I'll try to come and visit you as soon as possible.

~B^{lythe, Cailtin's Reuniclus, was being awfully fussy in her lap. her long arms reaching around Caitlin's neck as she snuggled into her chest. "Blythe, must you be so needy today..?" She gently pushed her pokemon away and continued typing.}

Sometime soon we should meet up, I just arrived back in Unova after a brief visit to the Battle Castle. I missed Darach and he was having management trouble with some of the Castle staff. He said to say hello and that you were more than welcome to visit and battle whenever you like. And no, I haven't been particularly interested is anyone as of late... I did enjoy the blind date you set up for me with Aaron the other weekend, but he has failed to call me back. SO typical. I presumed that he had better manners but I guess I was mistaken. Maybe it was my young age that turned him off? I hoped my maturity would make up for that minor detail, and I will admit that at first i was incredibly annoyed and frustrated, to such a point that my powers began acting up again. Those feelings have long since past, but my confidence has defiantly taken quite the blow.

Enough about me and my silly boy drama- I am more interested in this affair between you and Steven. He seems like a nice enough fellow. About a year ago at a Pokemon League event both our Metagross had a delightful time mingling. He was rambling on though about some precious stone jargon so I didn't really pay much attention to him. I give my 'blessing' and such, as long as you're happy and not mistreated by him. I have my concerns about where the media is going to go with this, however..

As far as matters go with Giovanni.. my heart goes out to you. I know the frustration of defeat all too well. We best not speak about this over such an open connection, however. I suspect that Team Ultimatum has a role in all this and it could mean trouble. Something is defiantly not right in the world, Cynthia.. I fear for all the regions. Perhaps when we meet you should bring Steven along, it's likely we will have some serious discussions ahead.

It hadn't taken Caitlin very long to answer back. Cynthia really did enjoy this kind of technology. Taking a sip of her usual, black coffee, Cynthia thought out a response for her friend.

Oh, I haven't seen Darach in such a long while. It's quite unfortunate, tell him I said hi as well, I don't know if I'll be able to journey back to the Battle Fronteir for a little while now, I've been quite busy. And I'm sorry that that date didn't work out for you. I'll go have a nice talk with Aaron about his manners I believe, I really did think that it would be a nice match. But don't fear darling, my matchmaking skills do not end there! I'll be looking around for someone more your type this time... I already some people in mind ;) And about your powers, remember to go take a nice steam bath, check out the hot springs, or head to a sauna, it's amazing what steam can do for the nerves. And don't worry, there is someone perfect out there for you I just know it!

And wouldn't really go about calling my relationship with Steven an 'afair.' We're both quite happy, though I didn't know that you two knew eachother. Of course, I wish that our pokemon got along as well as you say that your Metagross did with his. And don't worry, you'll get plenty of media coverage, not that I'm too happy about this either. They follow me everywhere, I never get a moment's peace. And I've had to stop reading the paper and watching all of those shows on the TV, I just can't stand all of the stuff that they make up, it's quite embarassing...

Your last statement is quite true. We should have some tea or something together sometime in the near future, there are things that I must discuss with you. And of course, I'll drag Steven down to Unova to meet you more formally as well. You are one of the only people I can safely trust now, after that whole drama with Erika and stuff... I do miss spending time with Bertha and Gardenia of course, I haven't spoken to them in a while. I also miss you and Shauntal. I hope all is well up there and that you, Grimsley, Marshal, Shauntal, and Alder are all doing well. It would be nice if you would give them my regards.

Alright, I will send my Sigilyph to find you with an invitation (I despise Pidgey mail delivery- those little rats with wings always get picked off by larger Birds) once things are slow around here. Not that I am worried, we haven't had a single challenger in nearly a month now. It's quite boring around these parts. I'll be sure to pass along your regards to the others. In the meantime I'll be sure to look for your face in the tabloids. Please do take care of yourself Cynthia, I saw the body count at the Prison and i worry.
