Though he works as a bodyguard or assassin most of the time, he is willing to do anything to get in a better position. His end goal get revenge on the Pokemon League for his imprisonment and help Team Ultimatum however he can, but you’d never know it due to his normally calm and expressionless demeanor. Still, he knows that he must become stronger to gain power. And so he trains while he watches and waits for the perfect opportunity to strike down his intended target. PERSONALITY: • Cunning~ Caine achieves his goals through deceit and evasion, the definition of cunning. • Ambitious~ Caine will do anything to reach his end goal. He has quite a hefty dream too; Caine wants to take a lead position in Ultimatum. His ambitions extend farther, but to what, no one is entirely sure. • Rather Intelligent~ His quick wit and intelligence are his main attributes, Caine is known to be quite brilliant. He is also very book smart and without knowing him, one might mistake him for a nerd. That is, until they meet him face to face. • Vengeful~ Memory is one of Caine’s strong points. He never forgives, never forgets. And then, when the time is right, he will take his brutal revenge. • Lonely~ Though he doesn’t mind being alone, Caine prefers to have people around him. Still, his years in the Sinnoh Underground have made most of his friends and acquaintances forget about him (not that many people liked him in the first place) • Angry~ Caine gets angry fast and his actions reflect this. He doesn’t normally show this emotion but deep down, he is quite angry most of the time • Silent~ Caine doesn’t enjoy to make conversation with others, unless you know him well, he’s content with one-word answers to most questions. • Numb to Violence~ Caine doesn’t really care about blood, gore, and pain. He kills without feeling and he doesn’t look back. • Expressionless~ Most of the time, Caine just looks calm or even bored with events that are going on around him. Even if he is involved with something, he will still look calm and in control unless it is the most dire situation. • Calculating~ Caine enjoys plotting and scheming. He analyzes every situation before taking action and always seems to be on top of things. • Seemingly Psychic~ The strong bond he shares with his Espeon allows Caine to seemingly see other people’s thoughts and feelings. This can be quite unnerving. Also, he uses Espeon’s Psychic to lift objects and make it appear as though he himself is doing it. Unless you really know Caine well, this makes him appear to be supernatural and very powerful, as well as psychopathic • Pretty much Insane/Psychotic~ Caine doesn’t normally use these words to describe himself, but others most certainly do. His tolerance and acceptance of other people’s pain as well as his cold personality and seemingly psychic powers make him seem to be of questionable sanity. LIKES: • Winning • Being in Charge • Darkness • Messing with others’ minds DISLIKES: • Losing • Being told what to do •His father • The Pokemon League, especially Champions HISTORY: In the small town of Snowpoint, in the region of Sinnoh, a young boy was born to Katy and Matthew Soren. Though Caine has suppressed most of his childhood memories, people who knew the family described him as a brilliant boy with a mind open for knowledge. Still, this didn’t exactly make him popular in school. At a young age, he was tormented by most of his peers for being a ‘nerd’ and ‘weak’. One boy in particular, Marcus, made every day of Caine’s life at school miserable. When all of the students in Caine’s class got their first pokemon, Marcus challenged and beat the young Caine humiliatingly in a battle; Caine’s Eevee against Marcus’s Tepig. Due to this loss, Caine refused to be beaten again. Of course, having a drunk as a Team Galactic grunt for a father and a stripper for a mother really didn’t help his situation at school. He made a vow that day to never accept defeat and to never be taken advantage of. Caine wanted to do everything better than his parents. It was soon apparent that the child would not accept any kind of loss and would not follow orders. This earned him a ‘bad boy’ reputation (which he greatly appreciated) and beatings from his mostly-absent father. Still, despite everyone’s best efforts, Caine was considered a bully soon enough. He would openly commit acts of violence against anyone who made fun of him or beat him at anything. Soon, Caine amassed five brutal pokemon with whom he bonded well with, his newly-evolved Espeon Zara was the closest of all of these. Zara made it appear that Caine had psychic abilities. His ever-rival Marcus and he fought each other at every turn for the top-spot in the small class. Caine, the criminal’s son against the goody-goody kid who would become the next Snowpoint gym leader (of course that never happened…). The most significant thing that ever came out of this was the competition over Caine’s long-time crush, Diana. But Diana chose Marcus. Caine had had enough and in response, he did something that would change his life forever. Just a simple act of murder. Hands stained red with the blood of his former enemy, Caine crawled to his father and begged to become one of Team Galactic. His father agreed, it was the only decision that his son made and his father approved of. Unfortunately, Caine started out at the lowest level of the Team; he was a grunt and he had to take orders from his superiors, including his father. Caine refused to do this despite many warnings from Admins and other high ranking officials. Instead of punishing him however, Cyrus promoted the young boy to a position of higher power and ordered him to do most of the team’s dirty work. The leader had seen potential in Caine to be one of the best in the Team and forced Caine to prove himself by killing Matthew, Caine’s father. The teen agreed and committed his second (but not last) murder. But after a couple of months of working as Cyrus’s personal assassin, he was caught by the League authorities and apprehended for his crimes. They couldn’t get enough hard evidence against him to give Caine the death penalty but eventually, they came up with a better idea. Instead of killing him, the authorities locked Caine in the Sinnoh Underground with no way to get out. If he ever did escape, he was supposed to be killed on sight. The teen grew hardened. He learned to hate and he hated well. He resented everyone who was involved with the Pokemon League and everyone who had any part in his trial. And he decided in the dark depths of the earth that he would become the strongest that he could possibly be and take his revenge when he was able. For three years, Caine wasn’t seen nor heard from. In the Underground, Caine worked tirelessly for the Sphere collectors. He dug up all of their treasures, just to win their favor. The boy grew strong in body. He worked on his trainer skills with any trainer who went down into the Underground. He was soon referred to as the Specter of Sinnoh due to his haggard appearance and tendency to melt into the shadows and appear at sudden moments. Satisfied with his strength, Caine got one of his Hiker friends to send him up, back into the world of the living. The nineteen year old was changed forever. His could easily see in almost total darkness and constantly wore a shard of a Dusk Stone around his neck on a chain though the reason for this is unknown. Still, as soon as he got out, Caine decided to join the up and coming Team Ultimatum after a grunt helped him get acclimated back into the world. Even Caine was grateful for this. He realized that the only ones who had ever helped him in life had been those in the criminal Teams and Caine swore to help their cause in any way he could.
